Antarctic Centre

Today we went to the Antarctic Centre in Christchurch.

We travelled on the bus to Christchurch.

Here we are lined up outside the Antarctic Centre. In our Learning Space (Te Tahuna) we have 73 children, 4 teachers and 1 teacher aide.

At the Antarctic Centre we went to see the Hägglund. Our Flat Heroes were also on the trip with us.

We also saw a Ski-doo. These are used as transport at Scott Base.

These children dressed up ready to go to Antarctica.

It was very cold in the snow room.

If you look carefully you can see penguins in the background.
